The first generation of tablet PCs and MIDs were saddled with processors that, while designed for portability, were not really optimized for low power and extended battery life, nor for serious graphics and media applications. But thanks to a new generation of low-voltage processors, such as Intel's Atom, nVidia's Tegra, and Qualcomm's SnapDragon, the possibility of creating a mini-tablet or smartpad with good Aspire 3000 battery life and media-processing capabilities could soon become a reality.
Leaving the internal specifications aside for a bit, the AIS Tablet PC stands out from the other Atom-based laptops Inspiron 1501 Battery thanks to a rugged exterior design. The system has been built to meet the specifications of a number of standards, including MIL-STD 810F and IP54, as well as UL 60601-1 for use with medical equipment.
